Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is the 4th novel in the Peachtree Bluff series。 I'll admit I have only read books three and four but both are amazing。 The series follows the Murphy family as they go through life's ups and downs。 Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is told in the magical month between Thanksgiving and Christmas。 The family's plans are turned upside down when 'the storm of the century" is forecasted to hit Peachtree Bluff shortly after Thanksgiving。What I love most about this series is the Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is the 4th novel in the Peachtree Bluff series。 I'll admit I have only read books three and four but both are amazing。 The series follows the Murphy family as they go through life's ups and downs。 Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is told in the magical month between Thanksgiving and Christmas。 The family's plans are turned upside down when 'the storm of the century" is forecasted to hit Peachtree Bluff shortly after Thanksgiving。What I love most about this series is the writing style。 You can picture the island of Peachtree Bluff throughout the book and the scenes as they are happening。 I also love how much the family looks out for each other。 There is drama in the series but it is not typically between family members。 This edition is a perfect read for the Christmas Season (Hallmark Christmas movies started last Friday!)。 This is a feel good book you will want to read。 As I said, I have not read the first two books in the series but they are on my TBR list。 I would have had more background but the book does a good job explaining things that I didn't feel I missed anything by reading this book first。 。。。more

This book gave me all the feels and now I’m excited for Christmas。 It’s the first Peachtree Bluff book I’ve read and I’d like to go back and read the series in order。 What I loved was the Southern charm and familial bonds。 When a family endures a hurricane, they are reminded of what matters most。 It’s heartwarming how the sisters rushed to the rescue。

This was my first Peachtree Bluff book (I know, I’m reading it out of order) but I was in the mood for a holiday book and this one was here ready for me。This was a sweet read all about family and traditions and memory making。 If you’re like me and it’s your first visit to Peachtree Bluff - let me tell you that it’s about resilient women。 Each chapter was from a different main characters point of view rotating between Ansley and her three adult daughter’s Sloan’s, Caroline and Emerson。 If you lov This was my first Peachtree Bluff book (I know, I’m reading it out of order) but I was in the mood for a holiday book and this one was here ready for me。This was a sweet read all about family and traditions and memory making。 If you’re like me and it’s your first visit to Peachtree Bluff - let me tell you that it’s about resilient women。 Each chapter was from a different main characters point of view rotating between Ansley and her three adult daughter’s Sloan’s, Caroline and Emerson。 If you love stories about family, friendship and traditions, this one is for you! 。。。more

📖Kristy's latest Peachtree Bluff novel can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend reading the other 3 books at some point。 They’re wonderful! Cozy beach reads, but even cozier fall & winter reads w/ a warm blanket & cup of cocoa! And to further your excitement, KWH's next novel, 'The Wedding Veil', is coming in March!。🎄In the newest installment of NYT bestselling author Kristy Woodson Harvey’s Peachtree Bluff series, 3 generations of the Murphy women must come together when a hurricane 📖Kristy's latest Peachtree Bluff novel can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend reading the other 3 books at some point。 They’re wonderful! Quite a lot, as it turns out。。🎄As the “storm of the century” heads toward Peachtree Bluff, Ansley & her husband, Jack, w/ Vivi in tow, are grateful they’re planning to leave for the trip of a lifetime。 But Vivi’s recklessness forces the trio to shelter in place during the worst hurricane Peachtree has ever seen。 With no power, no provisions, & the water rising, the circumstances become dire very quickly…& the Murphy sisters, who evacuated to NY, soon realize it’s up to them to conduct a rescue mission。 With the bridges closed & no way to access Peachtree Bluff by land or air, they set sail on Caroline’s boat, The Starlite Sisters, determined to rebuild their beloved town—as well as their family。。📖Written w/ her signature Southern charm, Harvey explores the magic of Christmas, the power of forgiveness, & the importance of family in a tale that reminds us that, no matter the circumstances, home is always where we belong—especially during the holidays。(To see my Instagram post about this book, goto @mom_loves_reading & give me a follow while you're visiting。 I give away a lot of books。。。not as many as Goodreads, but a lot。😉) 。。。more

Cheryl,
I have not read any of the prior novels in this series。 Which I don't truly believe that you have to have read the prior books but in my case, I think it might have helped some。 This is because I really struggled to connect on an emotional or personal level with any of the characters in the story。 Therefore, I found what probably should have been a fairly quick read to be a very, slow one for me。 While, I struggled with this book; underneath I did see some things I did like。 So, I would go back I have not read any of the prior novels in this series。 Which I don't truly believe that you have to have read the prior books but in my case, I think it might have helped some。 This is because I really struggled to connect on an emotional or personal level with any of the characters in the story。 Therefore, I found what probably should have been a fairly quick read to be a very, slow one for me。 While, I struggled with this book; underneath I did see some things I did like。 So, I would go back and pick up book one to get to know everyone and the town better。 。。。more
