Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is the 4th novel in the Peachtree Bluff series。 I'll admit I have only read books three and four but both are amazing。 The series follows the Murphy family as they go through life's ups and downs。 Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is told in the magical month between Thanksgiving and Christmas。 The family's plans are turned upside down when 'the storm of the century" is forecasted to hit Peachtree Bluff shortly after Thanksgiving。What I love most about this series is the Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is the 4th novel in the Peachtree Bluff series。 I'll admit I have only read books three and four but both are amazing。 The series follows the Murphy family as they go through life's ups and downs。 Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is told in the magical month between Thanksgiving and Christmas。 The family's plans are turned upside down when 'the storm of the century" is forecasted to hit Peachtree Bluff shortly after Thanksgiving。What I love most about this series is the writing style。 You can picture the island of Peachtree Bluff throughout the book and the scenes as they are happening。 I also love how much the family looks out for each other。 There is drama in the series but it is not typically between family members。 This edition is a perfect read for the Christmas Season （Hallmark Christmas movies started last Friday！）。 This is a feel good book you will want to read。 As I said， I have not read the first two books in the series but they are on my TBR list。 I would have had more background but the book does a good job explaining things that I didn't feel I missed anything by reading this book first。 。。。more

Since I am a huge fan of the Murphy family and this series since reading Slightly South of Simple， I was thrilled to get an ARC of this latest Peachtree Bluff story， so I could read the book before the official release。 It was great fun to get together with the family again and share in the wonderful way they faced the challenges of getting everyone there for Christmas。And then the big storm。Juggling kids and grandkids and exes and new loves isn’t easy under any circumstances， but with an impedi Since I am a huge fan of the Murphy family and this series since reading Slightly South of Simple， I was thrilled to get an ARC of this latest Peachtree Bluff story， so I could read the book before the official release。 It was great fun to get together with the family again and share in the wonderful way they faced the challenges of getting everyone there for Christmas。And then the big storm。Juggling kids and grandkids and exes and new loves isn’t easy under any circumstances， but with an impeding hurricane， there’s an added level of stress。 Still， for Ansley， it’s so important that her “girls” come home for Christmas， that all the extra work and hassle is worth it。 I could relate to that desire， as I share her need to have the kids around， no matter how old those kids might be。 And preparing for the homecoming is so satisfying for someone whose heart belongs to those kids and grandkids。 That comes across so clear in the way Ansley works at the decorating， baking， cooking， and polishing， to make everything just perfect for that magical day of Christmas。Those are all such great ways to build lasting memories， and I delighted with the girls as they recalled moments from the past that are so special to them， especially the fun holiday traditions of the Murphy family。 I suspect the festival of lights is based on a real event in the author’s hometown。 If not， she certainly makes it believable， and it should be a real event。The backstory from previous books is seamlessly woven in， so the reader gets to know enough about what has happened before to understand the importance of something now。 Like the reason Vivi decides to run away as the hurricane approaches。 It’s a biggie – the storm and the reason。 Why the trip that Jack and Ansley have to cancel was so important to them。 How do past loves fit into present day relationships。 And what are people willing to let go to have more in the present。The stories in the Peachtree Bluff series are light entertainment on the surface， but below the surface comes insights into relationships and families that are true to real life。 After reading all the books in the series， I’ve come to know the people in the stories like they are real， complete with the good and the not-so-good， and that is a credit to the deft hand the author has with characterization。I’m always a little disappointed when a story comes to an end， and I hope this isn’t the last time we share an adventure with the Murphy family。 。。。more

I absolutely love， love， love the Peachtree Bluff series。 And I love reading Christmas holiday books this time of year。 Well， Kristy has combined two of my biggest bookish loves into a fabulous Christmas story centered around the Murphy family—a family I became enamored with from the very first book in this series。 There is plenty of drama in Peachtree Bluff as a hurricane is making it way inland and everyone is being asked to evacuate。 Not everyone is able to leave and those who end up having t I absolutely love， love， love the Peachtree Bluff series。 And I love reading Christmas holiday books this time of year。 Well， Kristy has combined two of my biggest bookish loves into a fabulous Christmas story centered around the Murphy family—a family I became enamored with from the very first book in this series。 There is plenty of drama in Peachtree Bluff as a hurricane is making it way inland and everyone is being asked to evacuate。 Not everyone is able to leave and those who end up having to stay spend several intense days getting through the worst of it。 The Murphy family pulls together once again， supporting each other the best that they can， even though its not always easy。 So much drama， so much love。 I also loved all the holiday traditions that are such a big part of Peachtree Bluff。 Even after the "storm of the century" threatens their beautiful town， everyone pulls together to celebrate and keep all of those age-old traditions alive。 That was such a wonderful part of the story and made me wish I could be there for all of the celebrating。 It filled me with such joy！ Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is a story that I highly recommend！ If you love Southern fiction then this would be perfect for you。 This whole series is amazing。 And then， if you also love reading Christmas stories， this is a definite must-read。 It combines both of those elements exquisitely！ 。。。more

It took me all of 5 pages to be fully immersed back into the Murphy family and oh， how much I missed these ladies！But there’s a new lady in town - by the name of Pearl。 And she’s the most dramatic of them all。Hurricane Pearl is headed on a direct path to destroy our beloved town of Peachtree Bluff and ruin the Murphy’s entire holiday season。 But that’s not the only storm brewing in this family - divorce， bratty teens， commitment issues， long-buried secrets， mixed-up coffee orders （gasp！） and It took me all of 5 pages to be fully immersed back into the Murphy family and oh， how much I missed these ladies！But there’s a new lady in town - by the name of Pearl。 And she’s the most dramatic of them all。Hurricane Pearl is headed on a direct path to destroy our beloved town of Peachtree Bluff and ruin the Murphy’s entire holiday season。 But that’s not the only storm brewing in this family - divorce， bratty teens， commitment issues， long-buried secrets， mixed-up coffee orders （gasp！） and so much more threaten to be just as chaotic as this “storm of the century。”But leave it to these strong-willed women and a whole lot of southern hospitality and we now have my new favorite book in the series！ I just adore this whole family - and I highly recommend reading the entire series from the beginning so you can meet all these wonderful women - you won’t be disappointed。 And … I’m thinking （hoping！） we may see more of Peachtree Bluff one day with the introduction of Vivi’s POV？！ 🤞🏼 Hint， hint Kristy！ 。。。more

3。5 starsThis is a book about family and being there for each other。 The matriarch and her daughters and granddaughter are at the center of it all。 They are a strong support system for each other and I liked that。This book has it all - a hurricane， a family home， a missing person， young love， taking another step in a committed relationship， growing families， moving on after divorce， discovering family connections， pirate treasure， snow on Christmas - it is all there。 For me， it was too much。 I n 3。5 starsThis is a book about family and being there for each other。 The matriarch and her daughters and granddaughter are at the center of it all。 They are a strong support system for each other and I liked that。This book has it all - a hurricane， a family home， a missing person， young love， taking another step in a committed relationship， growing families， moving on after divorce， discovering family connections， pirate treasure， snow on Christmas - it is all there。 For me， it was too much。 I needed to see more of the characters' emotional journeys in these life moments and less plot movement。 As an addition to a series， it's not a good standalone。 There is a great deal of backstory needed to really be invested in these characters， especially with the constantly moving plot。 There is plenty of good description， so those who haven't read the series aren't lost。 I just think they won't be as emotionally vested as series readers。 I can easily see this translating to the small screen。 And I expect long time fans of the series may love tying up some loose ends and spending more time with these characters。 It's a quick holiday read for series regulars。I read an e-ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

There is nothing better than diving into a new book from one of my favorite authors and it felt so damn good to be back in Peachtree Bluff。 Being back during Christmas made it that much more magical and checking in on the Murphy family was an absolute delight。 I remember when I finished the previous book in the series I was so sad thinking there would be no more books and then when Kristy announced this book I was so thrilled。 Although I read the last book back in 2019 I had no problem jumping b There is nothing better than diving into a new book from one of my favorite authors and it felt so damn good to be back in Peachtree Bluff。 Being back during Christmas made it that much more magical and checking in on the Murphy family was an absolute delight。 I remember when I finished the previous book in the series I was so sad thinking there would be no more books and then when Kristy announced this book I was so thrilled。 Although I read the last book back in 2019 I had no problem jumping back into this world， it’s a place that’s so memorable and felt like reconnecting with old friends。 My favorite part of this one was seeing what kinds of traditions the Murphy’s participated in during the holiday season and they were just as special and magical as I had hoped for。 If you still haven’t caught up on this incredible series do so asap so you can cozy up with this special book this holiday season， I can’t say enough good thing about it， so I’ll just leave it with this 👉🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 。。。more

This is book 4 in the Peachtree Bluff series。 I only read book 1，which I absolutely loved， and have been meaning to get to the others， but just haven't yet。 I have loved a few other standalones I've read by her and couldn't wait to read this Christmas one， so I just went with it。 I really enjoyed it。 Kristy has such smooth writing and I just loved this story of the Murphy family。 I love the setting at Peachtree Bluff coast。 This was told through each woman's pov， as it switches with each chapter This is book 4 in the Peachtree Bluff series。 I only read book 1，which I absolutely loved， and have been meaning to get to the others， but just haven't yet。 I have loved a few other standalones I've read by her and couldn't wait to read this Christmas one， so I just went with it。 I really enjoyed it。 Kristy has such smooth writing and I just loved this story of the Murphy family。 I love the setting at Peachtree Bluff coast。 This was told through each woman's pov， as it switches with each chapter。 There is plenty of family drama and there is also a big storm heading their way， as they end up stranded！ I loved reading about their family holiday， and Christmas。 I thought the storm suspense really added to this one。 This was heartwarming and definitely had some funny parts， but also has some suspense。 I enjoyed the time with the Murphy family and I'm looking forward to getting to the others in the series。 So enjoyable！Thank you to the author， and publisher for the gifted copy， in exchange for an honest review。 All opinions are my own！ 。。。more

This book gave me all the feels and now I’m excited for Christmas。 It’s the first Peachtree Bluff book I’ve read and I’d like to go back and read the series in order。 What I loved was the Southern charm and familial bonds。 When a family endures a hurricane， they are reminded of what matters most。 It’s heartwarming how the sisters rushed to the rescue。
